Leilani

Awhile ago I asked the “likers” of my facebook page if anyone wanted to do a beauty/glamour photo shoot. One brave and, beautiful soul, Leilani said she would be willing to do this.

She’s not one who is seeking a career (even part time) as a model but, that didn’t really seem to matter. The result I got was photos of a naturally gorgeous young lady who, had a good moves to throw in front of my camera. It translates well in my wedding photography as a majority of the time I’m doing something very similar with a Bride. Typically speaking brides (and everyone else) are particualrly self conscience and have no interest in posing one way or another. That being said, it’s really getting into the sprit of the photos being taken that matter. Body language is kind of a way of posing and something we do everyday. So naturally, if you’re thinking about beauty, happiness or anything else that makes you feel good, your body language will pose you in that way.  In the future I’d like to capture more, natural beauties from around town. If you’re interested and would like to have your photo taken – feel free to ask.

Hope you like these! Let me know what you think.

Shot the Nikon D700, through a Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8  DG APO II editing applied in Photoshop CS5. Lighting with the Norman 808 Portrait pack into a Paul C. Buff Parabolic Umbrella at camera left. White reflector on right for fill.

Makeup was provided by Ashley Jaye, who I must say did a wonderful job.
